Band 3 Medicines Management Assistant (Bank)
Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Medicines Management Assistant to join our Bank Pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy, friendly and well‑established hospital pharmacy service delivering essential care across Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Community Health settings.

Key Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Pharmacy with hospital pharmacy experience
  • Good IT skills
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Well organised, proactive, and keen to learn

You will play a vital role in supporting safe and effective medicines management for our patients and clinical teams.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)

Key responsibilities will include: Dispensing inpatient, outpatient, clinical trial, and controlled drug prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures Using the pharmacy computer system to generate dispensing labels and manage stock issues, receipts, and transfers Maintaining stock levels, including putting away deliveries and part packs, and ensuring storage areas are clean and well organised Visiting wards to order and replenish medication supplies Supporting ward staff in the use of the Trust’s ePrescribing system
